Aaron Hoak
Aaron grew up in South Carolina and Kentucky, the son of a minister of the gospel. That first hand exposure to ministry didn't drive him away from it, but encouraged him toward it. He attended Kentucky Wesleyan College and earned a B.A. in Biology. After college, he began studying for the ministry at Westminster Seminary California, earning his M.Div. in 2002. He also completed the course of studies at the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies during that time. After graduating from seminary, he received a call to come to Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, IN to labor in the gospel ministry. He was ordained near the end of 2003.
Towards the end of 2009, GFC began to pursue the possibility of planting a new church in Warsaw, IN. Grace Baptist Church is the fruit of that pursuit. The Hoaks moved from Bremen to Warsaw to take up that work full time. |
Aaron was married to Erin after his first year of seminary in 2000. She is a wonderful companion, support, and help to him. They have five boys: Ryan, Andrew, Mitchell, Zachary, and Lukas who bring them great joy and challenges every day. Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and reading books on subjects from theology to history to baseball. He is also a sports fan.
