Saturday, September 21, 2013 was constitution day for Grace Baptist Church! In addition to our GBC family, we were joined by some from Grace Fellowship Church (our sending church in Bremen) and family and friends from Indiana, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, New Jersey, and Washington. We were thankful to have pastors of 7 different churches present to share in the day with us. Words can't really do it justice, but I'll tell you just a little about the day. It was a day of great joy as we joined together to form a new church founded on the Word of God and centered on Christ Jesus. We sang God's praise, took membership vows together, voted to install a pastor and adopt a constitution, and listened to the faithful preaching of God's word from Pastor Jim Savastio of the Reformed Baptist Church of Louisville. We were challenged to be a church that brings glory to God: a group of people who worship and live in such a way that people think high thoughts of the God we worship. The constitution service was followed by a time of fellowship and food that provided a sweet conclusion to the afternoon together. We went away thankful for all that God has done and anticipating what he will do in the future. Here is a link to an album of photos at our facebook page.
