Here are some of the elements of a Psalm of Lament:

• Address - calling to God
• Lament proper - stating and mourning the lamentable condition
• Confession of trust
• Petition - request for deliverance
• Vow of praise
• Acknowledging God's intervention.

Remember, you won't always have all of the elements in this order.
